NOW that the Lidl store is open can we expect offers of compensation from them to offset the thousands of pounds which have been lost by local businesses and people because of the grid-lock caused by the building works involved?

Too much to expect I guess, but can we at least hope that the 'planners' have learned some lessons from this mess and that the next time a firm wants to build in the area, they insist that the infrastructure is in place first.

For example, the roads widened and lights/roundabout built before the new buildings, as the last few weeks in the area has been utter chaos of the first degree.

Is it too much to hope that they have learnt some lessons from this?
