BRIDES, grooms and wedding guests found inspiration and some great ideas at the Fen Orchards Wedding Show.
The show was held in St Edmund’s Church, Emneth, as a fundraising event run jointly by the parishes of Elm, Emneth and Friday Bridge which together form the benefice of the Fen Orchards.
Local businesses supported the show by having stands at the event and giving demonstrations including how to revamp hats and giving them a completely new look. There was a raffle for one of the hats which was won by someone whose son is getting married shortly.
A bride-to-be was the recipient of a make-up demonstration and then got the chance to walk down the aisle. The church was decorated with floral displays taken from All Saints Church, Elm, which had held a flower festival just days previously.
Organisers of the event said there was a lot of support from businesses which included displays of outfits for the wedding party, hair-styling, hats, make-up, music, cakes, flowers, printing, photography, care hire and fireworks - in fact everything needed to help make a perfect day.
