OVER the past few months, staff at Thomas Clarkson Community College, have given up many hours of their own time to coach the students, who have also put their full efforts in to producing a polished performance of the Sound of Music.

After the Friday finale everyone in the audience gave the whole cast, production team, orchestra, stage hands, scenery designers, lighting and sound technicians a standing ovation.

The sense of achievement by one and all in front of equally proud parents and visitors was a joy to behold.

But this sort of success is not a one-off at the school, because if you take the trouble to look beyond this marvellous event, the education which the students are receiving from the dedicated staff is to use a Latin phrase 'Nulli Secundus' - second to none.
