IT'S good to hear that the people with money will benefit again.
Reading a couple of weeks ago that Fenland District Council is prepared to sell our council stock to a housing association for between £5,000 and £10,000 per house, I wondered why these reduced prices cannot be passed on to council tenants who have lived in some properties for more than 30 years.
As my family has lived in a council house for 40 years, I feel it is a let-down as we have probably paid the value of the house in rent and now they want £70,000-plus for it.
The house could then be passed on to a younger family member as there are only a few houses available as property developers are buying the majority of the lower-priced houses to rent out.
So there is no chance yet again, except for the people with money.
