AFTER reading the letters and stories in yours and other local newspapers over the past couple of months, I feel I must write and put some questions in to the forum surrounding Mr Ibrahim's business.

As we all live in the UK, which is allegedly a westernized civilization that supports the freedom of speech and the Human Rights Act, I am surprised by the involvement of MP Malcolm Moss, over trivial issues like the size of the sign outside Mr Ibrahim's business.

If you think back to when the property was a Little Chef, did it not have a huge sign advertising that it was restaurant, in a bright red colour??

So why in the 21st century are we worrying about a fully licensed and monitored adult shop on the A47 outside of the village of Guyhirn? If you remember, the adult shop trade during the 70s and 80s was quite a sleazy business, with underground and clandestine practices rife within the industry. However, there appears to have been something of a sexual revolution during the last 20 years, making this type of adult entertainment more open and public accessible to all, which is surely a good thing, so everyone has the freedom of choice over the matter.

In relation to the impact on house prices in the area, I feel it is the campaigners clutching at straws. I think if some of the campaigners actually visited Mr Ibrahim's shop, and saw what it was actually like inside, many of them would be pleasantly surprised.

There are far more pressing issues to address in Fenland, like fraud, theft and many other crimes against the community.

Rest assured, once Mr Ibrahim's business is fully up and running there will be many local people using the store to purchase products. What right does the minority have to stop these people from doing this?
