Rousing National Anthem kicks off Jubilee weekend in Wisbech cafe

A WISBECH musician helped get the Jubilee celebrations started at Octavia’s Cafe on Friday night.

Matt McChlery played to a packed-out crowd at the After Hours Live event beneath red, white and blue balloons and Union Jacks. He played some covers as well as his own before ending with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem.

Matt said: “Flags were flying and everyone was upstanding and singing enthusiastically. It was definitely a great start to a fabulous Jubilee weekend.”

Next month, the cafe evening, which offers entertainment with “a twist of faith”, will host Christian musician Dave Bilbrough, who has played the Royal Albert Hall before.
