WISBECH Rose Fair celebrations continue this weekend, with fabulous floral displays in town centre churches, and a colourful parade of floats taking to the streets on Saturday.

The Rose Fair has one of the finest flower festivals in England, the theme of the breathtaking displays in St Peter's Church this year is "Time and Tide."

A magic show is one of the highlights of celebrations in Norfolk Street on Saturday, and on Sunday a civic service takes place at St Peter's Church on Sunday at 10am, followed by a concert at 3pm and a Songs of Praise Service at 6.30pm.

A band concert featuring Chatteris Town Band will be held in the park at 1.30pm on Sunday.

On Saturday, the parade moves off at 11am and 2pm, with the theme of "Music and Groups through the Ages," starting from the Queen Mary Centre.

Inside the Centre, a special Rose Fair youth event is being staged between 9am and 3pm. The event will showcase a variety of youth facilities in the centre, and around the town.

Alison's Street Dance will perform in the Centre at 1pm, the Hudson Leisure Centre will be providing dance mats, rowing machines and exercise equipment, and the fire service will provide an interactive display.

A cake stall and tombola will be held, and youth groups are providing refreshments.

Other organisations taking part in the youth event include The College of West Anglia, Education and Youth Services, NACRO, Thomas Clarkson Community College, Wisbech Youth Council, The Prince's Trust, and the Ormiston Trust.
