One has only to look at the river Great Ouse at King's Lynn at low tide to see the deposits of silt which are getting bigger and bigger as a result of a reduced flow from up-river due to this abstraction.
Recently a coach was sent from Colchester to King's Lynn to collect West Norfolk borough councillors to take them to Essex to view the schemes that distribute the water from the Ouse to Essex customers. I can only think that this was a brainwashing exercise prior to another request to abstract more water from our area. I trust our borough representatives will, when the time comes, protect our local interests.
