STRANGE business Monday night.
It seems as though a car went out of control on Harecroft Road, somewhere near the cricket pavilion. It smashed into a driveway and through the wooden fence between two properties. There was a fear that it had damaged a gas supply pipe as fire engines and police attended. We were told to come out of our houses for a while, but there seemed to be nothing much happening, so I went back inside.
