WE would like to say a big thank you to everyone that made the Upwell Funday such a success. It enabled us to give, initially, £1,000 to each of the following charities, the RAF Charities; the Police and Fire Benevolent Fund.
We would particularly like to say a special thank you to the RAF and representatives from the RAF charities who attended, the RAF piper and RAF mascot dogs, Upwell playing field committee and Mr Starr for allowing us to use their facilities to stage the event.
We cannot express our gratitude and thanks to all of the wonderful people that came along on the day to support us and wish us well, and to those who gave so much to the charities. Nor can we express just how proud we are to be part of the community.
The people of Upwell, Outwell and surrounding villages are truly special people, kind, generous and loving, and we are privileged to live here.
