FENLAND: Thank you to the guys and girls who make our roads safe
I AM just writing a few words of praise to the guys who prepare our roads for safe travel. While we are all watching Corrie, Eastenders or tucked up in beds, the guys are travelling on UNTREATED roads to collect their gritters to make our journeys safer
I AM just writing a few words of praise to the guys who prepare our roads for safe travel.
While we are all watching Corrie, Eastenders or tucked up in beds, the guys are travelling on UNTREATED roads to collect their gritters to make our journeys safer anytime day or night.
And before anybody comments about being paid for it, I am sure these guys take pride in their job, and show they commitment and while most people are out having a few drinks at Christmas they are on 24/7 call-out if there are weather warnings in place. So before anybody comments on the job that they do maybe they should take a few moments to think what they actually do, and when they are called out at 2-3am nobody has been out to grit the roads for them to get to the depot safely.
So if you have got time to complain about the work they do and you have time to write these letters maybe you should apply for a HGV and give them a hand.

So again a BIG, BIG thank you.
A VERY GRATEFUL TRAVELLER.
