DID anybody else notice something wrong with the finale Auld Lang Syne on BBC Last Night of the Proms?

Not being a Philistine or if you like Philister, I watched it and noticed that the rendition of Auld Lang Syne was performed by the participants at the Royal Albert Hall included the words for the sake of Auld Lang Syne.

Without trying to be clever I would point out that the words "for the sake" should never be substituted at the end of verse and chorus the words are: We'll take a cup o' kindness yet, For Auld Lang Syne.
