MAY I point our two mistakes in the Cambs Times.
One was in Friday, August 8, the other was some time before.
I saw on the sports page you said the football match, Chatteris Town v March Town was for the Tony Brown Cup. That was wrong.
May I please point out to you it is the Derck Brown Cup. Derck played for Chatteris Engineers for many years and was a very good player.
So when Derck died, seven of his friends wanted him to be remembered.
So together we purchased the Derck Brown Cup.

It was first played for by the Isle League. The seven are: M Buddle, P Buddle, W Hammond, K Purcell, T Bedford, A Johnson.
