Do they not have traffic laws in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and so on? It seems the number of foreign workers prosecuted for drink driving offences or having no driving licence insurance or MOT, is on the increase.

It also appears that the punishment seems rather lenient and therefore of no deterrent value to the other workers. Some appear before the courts on more than one occasion. Surely these people should be regarded as "persona non grata" and asked to leave the country?

If these people want to work in this country then why don't they conform to our laws, we would be expected to comply with theirs. Is this another case of soft old England.
