A 1940s evening of entertainment raised �1,410 for the Wisbech Group of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jackie Leet, who organised the event at St Peter’s Church Hall, in Wisbech, at the beginning of February presented the cheque to the group last week.
The group also bagged another �420 from monies raised at Jean Kirkham’s 65th birthday, where family and friends were invited to put donations into a small wishing well in lieu of presents as well as enter a raffle.
