LETTER: Segregation is not an issue for people in Wisbech but small number of ‘criminal elements’ is

People who come here to work from abroad integrate in the workplace and their children integrate with other children at school.
They pay rents and taxes and spend money in the shops and use services, which boosts the local economy. The people that come here to live and work are nearly all bilingual, and although choose to speak in their native tongue with their friends and family, most speak perfectly good English when the need arises.
One thing that people are concerned about is the small number of criminal elements that come here from abroad, plus antisocial behaviour, usually associated with drinking, that needs to be addressed. For example 90% of the beer cans that litter the streets where I live are a Polish brand.
