The kitchen at Peckover House in Wisbech is being given a 1940s wartime theme on Monday October 14, when visitors can see the room decked out with gas masks and wartime costumes.
There will also be information about the rationing of food, and the way resourceful cooks turned their hand at using scarce ingredients to create tasty recipes.
The house is open from 1pm to 5pm and normal admission prices apply.
On Saturday and Sunday, October 12 and 13, and October 26 and 27, visitors can take a look behind the scenes at the National Trust property in North Brink. Guides will conduct tours in areas of the building not normally open to visitors.
It should be noted that the tours involves several flights of stairs.
The tours take place at 1pm and 2.30pm and admission is £2.50, plus the normal admission charge.
