The Friends of Wisbech General Cemetery will lead a walk through the area at 2pm on Sunday (February 19).

Starting at the back gate by Peckover playing fields, people will have a chance to see monuments for famous residents such as Samuel Smith.

“The winter months are an ideal time to view the monuments,” Bod Ledger said.

“Members of the Friends will be happy to point out some of the more interesting monuments and those of some of Wisbech’s most prominent citizens of the 19th century.”

There is a charge for adults of £2 and children £1, with proceeds going towards wild flowers for the cemetery.
