Jordan Gill produced a dominant display to claim the vacant British Masters Bronze light-welterweight belt.

The Chatteris fighter was far too good for Dunfermline’s Michael Stupart, stopping his opponent 47 seconds into the second round.

The 19 year-old, who is now unbeaten in nine pro contests, used his speed and quick hands to dismantle the Scottish challenger, who barely laid a glove on him.

Seconds into the second round, Gill rocked Stupart with a left hook and, after a barrage of punches, the referee had no option but to stop the bout.

But there was disappointment for Whittlesey’s Jake ‘The Snake’ Dyer, who lost 78-75 on points to Telford’s Kieron Grey in a British Masters Bronze super-middleweight title contest.

Dyer absorbed a large amount of punishment from Grey in an exciting, hard-fought bout.

The Whittlesey fighter rallied in the later rounds, but Grey’s early dominance meant it was too little too late.
