Archant

Hungate Rovers under 15 girls are the new ESF Festival of Football champions.

The local side won six and drew two of their eight games at the Skegness-based tournament to pip rivals Bartley FC and Manchester girls to the title.

Former England and Nottingham Forest legend Stuart Pearce and current England international Casey Stoney presented the team with their trophies and medals last week.

The victorious Hungate girls will now go on to take part in the finals of the tournament at St George’s Park in July.
