Archant

Six Fenland Running Club members were among the 236 finishers who took part in the Grimsthorpe Castle 10km in atrocious conditions.

Running home together were Andre Pittock (57th) and Martin Jennings (58th) in an identical time of 44 minutes 41 seconds. Next home for FRC was new member Daniel Carrington in 62nd (45.21), followed by Clive Harrod in 76th (46.28), Sarah Gauvin in 82nd (47.06) and Nicola Jennings in 107th (49.08).

Forty FRC members paid homage to revered club member Ian ‘The Legend’ Milburn, who was celebrating his 70th birthday, by joining him for the King’s Lynn Park Run.

Milburn stormed home in 22 minutes 11 seconds to shatter the previous vet-70 course record by almost two minutes.
