Wisbech Museum kicked off its Summer at the Museum holiday programme by introducing dozens of children to the many birds found in the area during the four-hour session on Wednesday (9).

Children then went on to make their own barn owl pencil holders, model swans and duck collages.

Next up at the museum is a visit from experts from the Cambridge Museum of Zoology on Sunday (13).

They will give a talk on the wildlife that can be found in the Fens. Activities, such as arts and crafts, will also be available from 12-4pm. Entry is free.

The one-off event is part of a regular line-up of Museum’s Sunday openings taking place until September 3.
