A scout group is holding a race night next month to raise funds for the refurbishment of their headquarters.

The 14th Wisbech Scout Group is staging the event, which will include a raffle, on May 10 at Walton Highway Village Club.

Organisers hope local individuals and businesses will get behind the event by sponsoring horses and providing raffle prizes.

Each horse costs £10 to sponsor - in return sponsors can name their horse and have an advert printed in the programme for the night

The Scout Headquarters in Oldfield Lane, Wisbech, needs a new kitchen, windows and toilets.
