FIVE cadets from 272 (Wisbech) Squadron took part in the annual inter-squadron cross country event.

The cadets competed against 29 other squadrons around a challenging 3km course set out in Hinchingbrooke Country Park.

They rose to the challenge and ploughed their way to the finish line despite a few falls and the inevitable mud bath.

Corporals Ross Chadney and Josh Garner ran alongside cadets John Goude, Ryan Newman and Benjamin Ayling.

Cpl Ross Chadney said: “It was a great course with plenty to look at as you ran around but take your eyes off the route in the woods for too long and you could end up in all sorts of mess.”
