Three senior cadets waved goodbye to the 272 (Wisbech) Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) at their annual dining in night.

Cadet sergeant Maddie Callaghan, who is going to university to study archaeology, flight sergeant John Goude, who has joined the RAF Reserve Regiment and Cadet warrant officer Aline Johnson, who has moved on to become a Civilian Instructor, all said their goodbyes at the three-course dinner at the Rose & Crown.

The squadron also welcomed new members and Mayor of Wisbech, Councillor Steve Tierney, also attended the dinner with his wife, Marie.

A squadron spokesman said: “Hopefully the new cadets will all enjoy their time with the Air Training Corps with many opportunities for different activities.

“Maddie, John and Aline will be greatly missed by 272 and they were presented with a memento of their time with the squadron.”

Anyone interested in joining the squadron as a cadet or adult volunteer can call 01945 587251 for more information.
