The strategy – which will be published on the Cambridgeshire County Council website on Monday – includes new transport projects for the town, due to last until 2026.

Debbie Goodland, Cambridgeshire County Council’s community engagement manager, said: “We want residents to share their views with us on the proposals, and let us know what they would like to see, to improve transport in the town.”

Copies of the document, updating the 2002 strategy, will be available at the road shows alongside a number of displays.

Residents can also register their comments on line from Monday, and will also be able to make their views known at the meetings, the first will be held on Wednesday at March Town Hall, from noon-8pm.

Dates for other road show events: February 26 at Sainsbury’s, from 4-7.30pm; March 2 at March Town Hall, from 9am-3pm; March 7, March railway station, 6.30am-1.30pm; March 13 at Tesco superstore, from 4-7.30pm.
