Three women cycled 100km in one night to raise more than £1,500 for three cancer charities.

College of West Anglia Isle Campus staff Natalie Gooch, from Friday Bridge, and Zoe Drew, from Elm, alongside their friend Emma Chennery, from Elm, took part in the Women v Cancer Ride The Night event to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.

They were among the 1,500 cyclists that set off from the Royal Windsor Racecourse, pedalled into London and then made their way back to the racecourse.

The night time cycle took in many of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Buckingham Palace, Westminister Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

The cause is close to Mrs Drew’s heart - her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and has made a recovery.

The trio were thrilled to reach the finish line and are already getting organised to sign up for next year’s event.
