SHOPPERS dug deep to help swimmers from March Marlins raise £429 towards new equipment.
The young swimmers held a bag pack in Tesco, March, and customers proved in a generous mood on the hottest day of the year so far.
Mark McGowen, from the swimming club, said: “The London 2012 Olympics motto was ‘Inspire a Generation’ and the people of March have certainly helped the Marlins towards that goal.
“Thank you to Tracey Palmer for organising it and all the Marlins who helped on the day.”
