MISSING MINIATURE SCHNAUZER

A RARE dog worth up to £800 was reportedly taken from its family home, depriving a two-year-old child of her “best friend”.

Eleanor Brown-Ahern has now offered a £100 reward for the safe return of miniature schnauzer Grace after she went missing between 7.30am and 9.30am on Friday, September 14.

The mother says the four-year-old pet, who they have had since she was a puppy, was either stolen from the family home in Wheatley Bank, Walsoken or got out and was picked up by someone.

“Her nickname around the house is ‘Boing’ because she is a very sociable dog,” Mrs Brown-Ahern said.

“She follows our two other labradors around and is great company. She is a lap dog and our two-year-old daughter’s best friend.

“She is a really loving dog who we are missing terribly.”

Hundreds of posters have been put up nearby in a bid to find Grace and the family has also leafleted houses in the area.

Mrs Brown-Ahern has also reported the matter to the police.

A miniature schnauzer usually costs between £500 and £800 and is about 12 to 14 inches tall.
