This barrier is only being put up as a result of a long running campaign by Graham Chappell. He has worked tirelessly for barriers and safety on Fen roads. Along the way he has had constant fights from the council and amongst other things has had to prove unfounded claims that it was impossible to put up barriers due to the land composition. He also has worked hard to raise money for this barrier and i think it is important to make the point that without this fund raising, this barrier would not be going up. The funding is paying for some of it. So well done Graham and i personally feel that you deserve an award.
