Road closed in March as engineers mend burst water main

A BURST water main has forced Anglian Water to close Elm Road at March to traffic, after 300 properties were left without water on Sunday morning.
Elm Road burst water mainA team of emergency engineers from Anglian Water managed to isolate the problem and reinstate the water supply within a couple of hours, but the road remains closed as workers carry out repairs.
An Anglian Water spokesman said a customer reported the problem at 7.30am on Sunday morning, after discovering they had no water supply.
“A 16-inch main pipe had burst in Elm Road, 200 yards from its junction with Station Road,” he said. “Our team of engineers went out to investigate, found the problem and was able to isolate it by 9.15am, so our customers’ supply was reinstated.”.
The road is closed to ensure the safety of the work force, said the spokesman, and an alternative route has been set up.

Love to know where the signs for the alternative route is? if you come of two hundred road it says road closed which it is not until you go past the prison. There are no diversion signs telling you where to go ???????
