Police confirmed today they are investigating an alleged robbery in Wimblington on Sunday but admit they remain “unclear” about the details.

Postings on Facebook suggest four intruders broke into a house off Honey Mead Road just before 9am and then attacked the occupants and stole cash.

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating reports of an incident at a property in Greenwood Way, Wimblington, at 8.45am on Sunday.

“The exact circumstances of what happened are still unclear; however it is being treated as an isolated incident.”
