Police find a trio of number plate thieves hiding near McDonald’s in Cromwell Road, Wisbech

THREE people arrested in Wisbech last night were found with number plates stolen from vehicles in Norfolk.
The plates are often used illegally on cars and vans to steal fuel from service stations-.
A police spokesman used Twitter to release details of the arrest pointing out “we found them hiding in the McDonald’s play area on Cromwell Road.”
