Tackling dog fouling and speeding have been prioritised following the March Neighbourhood Forum on Monday.

The forum at March Town Hall was attended by police officers, residents and representatives from Fenland District Council and March Town Council.

Fenland District Council will tackle dog fouling, while speeding will be tackled by PCSOs, police officers and members of community Speedwatch.

Parking issues and litter, although not highlighted as priorities, will continue to be enforced by police and the district council.

Three quarters of the 126 people who filled in a survey in the lead-up to the forum said they felt crime and anti-social behaviour is low in March.

PCSO Rachael Cheverton said: “It was very pleasing that around half of those interviewed raised no issues at all and 75 per cent considered the level of crime and anti-social behaviour to be low in March.

“However, March Safer Neighbourhood Team together with Fenland District Council will strive to improve on this figure during 2014.”
