Police uncover cannabis factory in Wisbech despite being called to ‘burglary’

Originally called to reports of a burglary, police in Wisbech uncovered a cannabis factory at a house in the town.

Police were called to St Michael’s Avenue at about 10.30pm on Wednesday – initially after reports of a burglary.

On arrival however, officers discovered 55 cannabis plants.

“There is currently no estimate of worth at the moment and inquiries are ongoing,” said police.
