Police hunting for man after fleeing abandoned tractor in Wisbech

Police are hunting for the driver of a tractor which nearly crashed into a house in Wisbech following a chase across Norfolk and into Cambridgeshire.

The tractor ended up in a dead end in De Havilland Road, Wisbech.

At least six cars and a police helicopter are reported to have been involved in the incident.

On Twitter, a police spokesman said simply: “Pursuit from Norfolk to Wisbech. Driver decamped”.
