Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House held a successful volunteer open event on Thursday with members of the local community turning up to express their interest in volunteering.

Another open volunteer session will be held on Saturday, August 30 between 10am and 1pm.

Trustee Christine Pittman said: “We were really pleased with how it all went as our volunteers are the backbone of Octavia Hill’s Birthplace House.

“We have so many opportunities to offer which benefit both the volunteers and the Birthplace House.”
