A group of young people from the National Citizens Service completed a 10 mile walk in aid of a homeless charity based in Wisbech.
By taking on the walk, the team raised money and bought a number of items for the emergency night shelter, which is open 365 nights a year to anyone who is homeless in the Fenland area.
Donated items included plastic ponchos, toiletries, socks, rucksacks, pillows and sleeping bags, all essential items as we head into winter and temperatures drop.
Keith Smith, director of the Ferry Project, said: “Donations of this nature not only change the lives of the people that need it most, but let those in crisis know, that in this dark time, others are thinking of them.
“If you would like to find out more about the life-changing work of the project, make a donation to the Emergency Night Shelter or know someone who requires help from the Ferry Project, please get in touch.”
