The station’s annual Christmas toy appeal saw thousands of listeners donating toys, raising a total of over £20,000 worth of toys. The donations were split between charities and organisations.

Laura Mills, early years co-ordinator at Meadowgate, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Simon Rowe at KLFM for kindly donating some of the toys from the Christmas toy appeal.

“The children in three of Meadowgate Academy’s primary department will benefit from the new toys because of the generosity of the listeners of KLFM.”

A KLFM spokesman said: “Everyone at KL.FM would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped with our Toy Appeal which this year was our biggest yet.

“Toys were collected at Morrison’s, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores all over West Norfolk, Wisbech and Fakenham.

“We spent just two hours at each location and were overwhelmed each and every day, the generosity was amazing.”
