March train station ticket office closed due to Valentine’s Day?

MARCH train station’s ticket office was closed this afternoon because of Valentine’s Day- according to a sign on the office door.
It turns out the sign was an elaborate prank from a mischievous taxi driver, but the fact remains that the ticket office has been regularly forced to close on weekday afternoons because of a shortage of staff.
Passengers are instead having to rely on the ticket machines positioned on the station platform.

I travel from Whittlesey to stamford and the ticket machine charge me over a pound more for the same journey then buying it on the train you can not buy tickets in Whittlesey another way to make money while saving for them
