A model car racing fanatic entertained March Rotary Club’s members at their meeting yesterday.
Mike Chilvers worked as a public relations officer for the British Radio Car Association and is president of March Raceway Club.
The former teacher wrote for several years for Model Car magazine.
Mr Chilvers spoke about how he got involved in the British Radio Car Association (BRCA) and his experiences in racing model radio controlled cars ranging from one-twelfth to one-fifth full size.
He said his interest in model car racing started in 1979 following a day visit to Lilford Park and discovering there was a club at Wisbech.
The talk ended with a lively question and evening session then Mr Chilvers was thanked by rotarian Nick Kime for his contribution.
