March community group digs deep to help Fenland organisations

11:25 13 March 2014

A Fenland community group has given £750 to four causes and got behind a guide group.

March Lions have donated £250 to March Amateur Boxing Club, £300 to voluntary group SERVE who deliver blood to hospitals around the region, £100 to Magpas and £100 to the Somerset Levels Relief Fund to help with the fuel costs in the deliveries of foodstuffs provided by Fenland farmers.

They have also supplied the 8th March Guide Group with 20 high visibility waistcoats, 10 pairs of wellington boots and are looking to buy five lanterns.

If you would like to become a member of March Lions, call Trevor Stockbridge on 01354 652720 or 07831 357289
