A Fenland club has been given an electric mobility scooter by a charity shop.
The Open Chest Charity Shop, March, donated the scooter to Wisbech & District Stroke Club, which has several members who have difficulty getting around.
Kathy Dudley, Open Chest shop manager, said: “The scooter had been donated to us and I remembered helping the stroke club last year with a monetary donation.
“So I wondered if they would be able to make good use of it.”
Peter Fewster, Wisbech District Stroke Club secretary, said: “The scooter is a very generous gift that will be available to all club members to use.
“We are open to members in March as well as Wisbech.”
The Open Chest Charity Shop is an independent charity run entirely by unpaid volunteers.
They urgently need clothes donations. If you can help call 01354 654403.
