March Cadet Officer wins prestigious award at annual Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Parade held at RAF Wyton

Cadets from 1220 (March) Squadron were on parade at the annual Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing Parade and Review at RAF Wyton.

It was a special day for Cadet Warrant Officer Katie Dickson, who received the Parker Britannia Trophy for excellence in aviation.

She was nominated for the award because of her continuing commitment to completing her flying scholarship.

Flight Sergeant (ATC) Brian Goodall was awarded a Wing Commander’s commendation in recognition of his efforts and commitment to the Air Training Corps.

The reviewing officer was Brigadier Nicholas Davies MBE MC, Commander of the Joint Forces Intelligence Group at RAF Wyton.

After receiving her award, Katie said: “It was an honour to collect the award in front of the whole parade; I felt really proud. It was a wonderful surprise to mark my last official parade.”
