Kevin’s Worzals cafe and farm shop at Wisbech has been so successful he now plans to create Aunt Eileen’s restaurant too

FARM shop entrepreneur Kevin Curzon wants to extend the café – and create more jobs- at his Wisbech farm shop and open seven nights a week to cater for demand.
He has applied to West Norfolk Council to create a bigger and better café at the Worzals farm shop he opened just over a year ago at Lynn Road, Wisbech.
If approved the £100,000 extension will enable him to operate the café during the day, transforming it at night to Aunt Eileen’s restaurant.
“The restaurant will not only benefit from local custom but also passing trade which has been the key to Worzals success,” says his planning agent Peter Humphrey.
He said the current café had been a huge success and has had many comments from visitors asking when Worzals would open in the evenings to serve meals.
Mr Humphrey has told West Norfolk planners that with the closure of the Little Chef opposite “Mr Curzon saw an opportunity for a potential expansion of Worzals.”
The extension has been designed with its own entrance so at night time, once the farm shop has closed, it can function as a restaurant.
Currently Worzals employs 20 full-time staff but Mr Curzon believes this number could double as catering, kitchen and bar staff is recruited.
“Worzals Farm Shop is a successful business expanding to cope with local demand,” says Mr Humphrey.
“Mr Curzon has a clear vision for the business and the enterprise is growing each day, creating more staff vacancies as it expands.”
