Oliver Cromwell House became a buzz of activity when it held The Lord Protector’s Historical Fayre for the second year running.

A range of historical traders peddled their wares within the beautiful setting of the 17th century property.

Tracy Harding, ‎tourism and town centres manager for ‎East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “It is great to see the house used for a different type of entertainment with all rooms opened for traders, it was a lovely event.

“It was aimed at the re-enactment market with people coming to buy their pottery or outfits they use for their events.

“There’s a very lively following in the region but it also attracted a lot of members of the public too who enjoyed the buzz and the historical chat.

“It is all about inspiring people into history. it was a great success.”

A wide range of items were available from historical reproductions to the historically influenced.

There was food, pottery, jewellery and clothing alongside demonstrations, talks and presentations.
