Almost 300 people refused to be put off by the wet weather as they enjoyed a Fenland company’s fun day.

Anglia Components, of Wisbech, turned their Sandall Road premises into a fun fair, complete with marquees, a children’s entertainer, bucking bronco and fairground rides.

The staff fun day has become an annual tradition at the company, which employs about 150 people and has become the UK’s largest privately owned authorised distributor of electronic components.

Organiser Sarah Foley said: “There was thunder and lightning at the beginning but everyone stayed around and it was a really good day.

“This is the 16th year we’ve run it. It’s a good way to give back to our employees and say thank you for their hard work.”
