A “fantastic” firefighter has hung up his helmet after 30 years of saving lives.
Adrian Moore, 51, of Wisbech, served of all his 30 years at Wisbech Fire Station after joining in 1984.
To mark his retirement, he was presented with a firefighting figurine and a photo album highlighting his time at the station.
Watch Commander Phil Pilbeam said: “He was a very professional, competent and capable firefighter who was a joy to work with.
“Adrian never had a bad word about anyone and is a very humorous and happy person, which the crew will miss.
“He always lightened the mood nearly every day and was someone I could turn to for advice because of the experience and time spent in the service.
“Adrian always had the potential to progress his career further as he was a fantastic firefighter but loved to be on the frontline serving his community.”
