An elderly man was threatened with an iron bar as thieves broke into his home and stole cash in Tipps End, near Welney.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity; in particular a dark coloured car driving away from Wisbech Road between 5.10pm and 5.30pm on Thursday January 28.

The man was uninjured.
