A tractor thief who led police on a 10 mile per hour chase across the Norfolk and Cambridgeshire border was jailed this morning.
Nathan Lovell, of Trinity Road, Wisbech, admitted aggravated vehicle-taking, dangerous driving, failing to stop and use of a motor vehicle without third-party insurance.
He was sentenced to eight months in prison at Norwich Crown Court and was banned from driving for two years and four months.
The 25-year-old will have to take a driving test before he’s allowed back on the roads.
The tractor was taken from a farm in Tilney St Lawrence at around 8pm on Saturday January 16.
It ended up in a dead end in Oakroyd Crescent at the bottom of De Havilland Road, Wisbech.
At least six cars and a helicopter from the National Police Air Service were involved in the chase.
